Dolphin Watching In Ocean City

The Eagle Dolphin Watch is unlike anything else in Ocean City. This trip takes you offshore into the open Atlantic Ocean aboard the Eagle — a 28-foot Pursuit C280 center console built to go 100 miles offshore and powered by twin 250 Yamaha outboards. This isn’t a pontoon ride. This is a real ocean-going vessel, and the dolphins out here know the difference.

Atlantic dolphins are wild, fast, and absolutely electric to watch. There’s a chance we might not find them on any given day, but we guarantee you our best effort — and the cruise itself through the open Atlantic is worth the trip either way. Sometimes they’ll ride right alongside us, leap out of the water, and put on a show you won’t forget. Your captain knows exactly where to find them — and in the Eagle, we can get there quickly and comfortably. Feel the power of the open ocean beneath you as we cruise past the OC Inlet, along the coastline, and into the waters where pods of bottlenose dolphins hunt, play, and do what they do best: blow your mind.

With only 6 guests max, you won’t be fighting for a spot at the rail. Stretch out on the cushioned bow seating for the ultimate front-row view, or hang near the stern and watch them play in our wake. Connect your phone to the Bluetooth speakers, load up the insulated coolers with your favorite drinks and snacks — this trip is BYOB — and let the Atlantic Ocean do the rest. And yes, the Eagle has a fully equipped head (bathroom) onboard, because when you’re on the ocean, that matters.

This is dolphin watching the way it was meant to be — offshore, up close, and on a boat that can actually handle it. Nothing else in OC comes close.

Why Choose OC Bay Hopper Dolphin Tours

We’ve all done the bay boat thing — calm, predictable, familiar. Not this time. Forget the bay — we’re taking you to the Atlantic, where wild dolphins hunt, play, and put on a show you won’t forget.

You’ll experience:

  • Real Atlantic dolphins in their natural habitat — wild, fast, and absolutely electric to watch
  • A front-row view from a serious ocean boat built to handle it (not a pontoon)
  • Small group intimacy — only 6 guests max, so you’re not fighting for a spot at the rail
  • The raw power of the open ocean beneath you — past the OC Inlet, along the coastline, into waters where pods of bottlenose dolphins do what they do best

This is dolphin watching the way it was meant to be — offshore, up close, and on a boat that can actually handle it. Nothing else in OC comes close.

FAQs

Weather and Cancellation Policy

Your safety and comfort are our top priority! Tours will proceed unless weather conditions pose a safety risk (e.g., lightning, high winds). If a trip is canceled due to inclement weather, you will receive a full refund.

Are there bathrooms on board?

No — our fleet of Bay Hoppers are smaller boats that carry between 12 and 18 people and there are no bathrooms on board. We do have bathrooms available at our kiosk locations where we board the boat.

Do children and infants need a ticket?

Yes — our boats are US Coast Guard inspected vessels and have a strict limit on their capacity. For this reason, all passengers must have a ticket in order to cruise with us.
