There’s a side of nature that you can only see from the water, and we have tours that highlight the natural beauty that surrounds Ocean City, MD. From amazing birds of prey to wild ponies, you’ll want to bring your camera!
FEATURED NATURE LOVER CRUISE
Sunset Seabird Safari
You won’t believe the variety of birds that inhabit the coastal bays behind Assateague Island and Ocean City during the spring and summer! Many migratory species make their way here to nest and raise their young near our coastal waters. Species may include:
- Royal Tern
- Forster’s Tern
- Common Tern
- Black Skimmer
- Brown Pelican
- Piping Plover
- Brown Pelican
- Osprey
- Snowy Egret
- White Ibis
- American Oystercatcher
- Willet
The Sunset Seabird Safari cruise is available on select dates through early September and capacity is limited (so book early!). The trip is approximately 2 hours long, boards from our West OC pier, and will have a licensed captain as well as a Delmarva Birding Weekends guide aboard to ensure you have an excellent experience.
NATURE EXPERIENCES
Assateague Island Tour
Assateague is a barrier island and national park just south of the Ocean City inlet. We cruise down the coast taking in the sights which usually include a wide selection of birds and often the wild ponies!
Trips offered from 118th Street, downtown at Olde Town Marina and West Ocean City in the mornings.
MD Coastal Bays Environmental Education
For true nature lovers! Staff from the Maryland Coastal Bays program will provide a guided tour of the Assawoman and Sinepuxent Bays. Learn about their work preserving this amazing natural resource and experience some hands on fun for the kids.
Trips offered twice a week in the mornings in peak season, on Mondays and Thursdays. These trips typically depart from Downtown and our West Ocean City location.
Sunset Cruise
A leisurely cruise along the coast as the sun goes down with plenty of nature to see. We often spot beautiful water fowl and occasionally a pod of dolphins.
Longer, more intimate sunset cruises for up to 6 people are also available every evening from our West OC location.
Trips depart prior to sunset from our Downtown, West Ocean City and 118th Street locations.
